The Iraqi prime minister has announced that Nineveh province has now been “fully liberated” from ISIS. The coalition set their sights on the city of Tal Afar, and they chased ISIS out of there into the nearby town of Ayadiya.

The latter has now been liberated. There’s still work to do in Tal Afar, since the city needs to be cleared of remaining explosives and possible ISIS holdouts. But that leaves only a few urban areas under ISIS control: Hawija, and from Ana to Al-Qaim in the Euphrates river valley.
