8 Ways The Democrat Party Can Win Back Trump Democrats, Mark Kern @Grummz, Twitter

CS Commentary: A Trump Democrat whom we respect sent us this link, which makes a lot of sense and explains why many moderate Democrats ran to Trump in the last election and will likely continue to do so this upcoming November. Also see the Walkaway video in Editor’s Choice, below.

What’s At Stake As The US Considers Recognizing The Golan Heights As Part Of Israel, Stratfor

CS Commentary: Stratfor has gone increasingly liberal since founder George Friedman left several years ago to start a rival group, GeoPolitical Futures. However, it is still good for general analysis if one factors in/out the bias. Note that, according to them, the US is upsetting the international balance and stability with their bold moves and that no expansion of territory has been acknowledged since WWII. Yet, expansion of territory – like Russia’s excursion into Ukraine, or China’s military expansion into the South China Sea – have been ‘allowed.’ In our opinion there is a fear-based ‘The sky is falling,’ anti-Trump, anti-Israel bias that runs through this piece. For example, never mentioned is the fact that Israel has defended itself and given back land conquered militarily to maintain the peace more times than any nation in history. Still, its a worthwhile read for determining some of the historical context and general facts related to the decision.

Dear Judd Apatow And Kumail: You Have No Idea What A Nazi Really Was, David Harsanyi, The Federalist

CS Commentary: The hilarity and ludicrous and absurd nature of those calling Trump and Huckabee-Sanders and others on the right ‘Nazis’ is revealed by their complete ignorance of history. However, CS disagrees with the Harsanyi statement: continue reading at this link; Also see, The Rise Of The Mob, Ben Shapiro, Townhall; Also see, We Are Heading Down A Dangerous Path: Virtue Fascism, Bill O’Reilly

Justice Kennedy’s Dark Legacy, Ann McElhinney, Townhall

CS Commentary: An enlightening and sobering article, but it is unrealistic to believe that the reversal of Roe vs. Wade will immediately lead to the end of abortion on demand in America.

Tariff Wars And The Balance Of Trade, Richard M. Ebeling, AIER

CS Commentary: An interesting contrary article on Trump’s trade policies from an economist that sketches out the larger contextual understanding of global trade. Would be more convincing if he included a discussion of the differences between individual and national trade, how the US should respond to other nation’s tariffs on products and why, and the impact of central bank policies and exchange rate fluctuations. Global trade is a complex animal and its difficult to understand which side is right in the debate. The bottom line: China has been taking advantage of the US for decades in more ways than one and President Trump is right to stand up to them.

Radical Plan To Split California Into Three States Earns Spot On November Ballot, John Myers, LA Times

CS Commentary: Bottom line? Vote ‘No.’ The plan will result in three times as much CA power in the US Congress and only one of the ‘new’ states would have a chance of going Republican. It doesn’t solve any of CA’s problems and will result in huge interstate costs and potential water wars associated with any break-up. Not to mention the legislative and legal problems of whether the break-up could happen at all at both the state and national levels.

3 Of 4 Americans Support Term Limits. Here’s How Congress Could Establish Them., Rep. Ron DeSantis, The Daily Signal; Also see, How A Congressional Term Limits Convention Would Work, Nick Tomboulides, TermLimits.com; Sign The Petition for Congressional Term Limits Here

CS Commentary: CS endorses the drive for Congressional Term Limits, probably the least discussed – and most needed – issue in the nation. Congressional Term Limits would at least begin to repress the corruption and ambition currently endemic to the American Congressional system and encourage leaders to sacrifice their time to serve, as did our nation’s Founders. CS encourages everyone to sign the petition.

Dignity (DIG) The Sleeping Giant: Crypto That Industry Insiders Say Could Go Much, Much Higher, cryptoclarified.com

CS Commentary: Not all of the information in this article is completely accurate, but its good for more general information on DIG. For example, wallets listed are not all compatible for the airdrop, see Arbitrade website for updates; the airdrop has not, so far at least, been handled well, and the statement “which means the only way it [DIG] could completely fail is if the entire cryptocurrency market fails” is off point. Executive Management could fail, funding could fail, something better could replace it up ahead, etc. You get the idea. The website this article comes from is fairly new, but, according to them they already have heavy traffic – so its worth keeping an eye on. However, CS does not like any site that does not list an address of operations or publisher and author names – so caveat emptor until the site proves itself long term.
