CS Evaluation – Precious Metals? How Christians Can Respond To Current Financial Trends, Dexter P. Lyons, Charisma
CS Evaluation: In general, there is some good advice here, though we don’t agree with some of the details. Technically, the Fed is not ‘monetizing’ the debt ( ) – if it were the U.S. would be in a serious and precarious situation reminiscent of nations like Venezuela, Zimbabwe, and others which have quickly gone on to experience hyperinflation and social-economic collapse. For more, see . Silver is probably the better buy over gold for now. Many see gold continuing up, but we are more contrarians on this subject. Gold is at its highest point since 2011-2012, when it almost hit $2000 an ounce. What is has going for it: continued economic uncertainty and volatility, at least for the short term; dwindling supply; increasing demand. Depressors on the price? An economic turn for the good, increasing stock market, interest rates that turn up, and any discovery that finds more supply or increases mining potential. The production cost of gold is anywhere from about $900 to $1200/ounce, so gold could possibly fall into that range again before going higher. We feel that, medium term at least, gold is likely to be lower before it tests and exceeds $2000 again. But, only time will tell. That said, if you don’t own any physical gold it is always a good time to buy some.
Is The Coronavirus A Prophesied End-Times Plague? Shawn A. Akers, Charisma
CS Evaluation, updated 3/14/20: In answer to the question the title proposes, in short, ‘No’. The article is by Akers, but summarizes Michael Snyder’s views. Can anyone say ‘confirmation bias?’ In the investment world if you make a prediction that doesn’t come true within about a 2 year time frame you are...to continue reading click this link
Are These ‘Billions’ Of Locusts Threatening To Create A Horrific End-Times-Scenario In East Africa? Michael Snyder, Charisma
CS Evaluation: Is this really a ‘horrific End-Times scenario?’ First of all, he alludes to this as more proof that his theory that the ‘perfect storm’ (spoken of by prophetic figure John Paul Jackson, evaluated elsewhere on this site) is here. We do not believe this is correct for a number of good reasons…To continue reading click this link
A ‘Bomb Cyclone’ Just Hit California – Is This The Key Prophetic Sign That John Paul Jackson Warned Us About? Michael Snyder, 365 Prophetic
CS Evaluation: We live in California and at least here in Southern California, the ‘Bomb Cyclone’ was not even noticed. This, in and of itself, doesn’t necessarily mean anything – except if almost nobody notices something how can it be a ‘sign’ or a ‘warning?’ This link explains a ‘bomb cyclone’ – as does this NY Times 2 minute link – its basically nothing but a severe, fast developing winter storm, but not near as bad as a hurricane, and nothing to get upset about. I suppose it sounds alarming because of the name – but a little investigation proves otherwise. It appears to be a relatively common occurrence.
We have evaluated John Paul’s ‘Perfect Storm’ prophecy below and whether or not it is in the process of being fulfilled and noted that the ‘events’ Snyder points to are presumptuous as to its fulfillment. We should not use the prophetic or our interpretation – or misinterpretation – of it as some sort of alarmist cry that brings attention to ourselves, our political career, or articles that we want to get published. This does not serve the prophetic or the Body of Christ in general.
2015: Rick Joyner Says It Is Time To Get Out Of CA, Jim Bakker Show
CS Evaluation: Hard to know how to interpret this one, but we would say that it is not yet time to get out of CA unless God has made that abundantly clear to you. How would he do that? First, through relationship and the still small voice of the Spirit (see Books section, below). Second, if you miss the first through a dream or some other intervening experience (but be careful here, they are easily misinterpreted – see Dreams section, below). CS believes that the time to get out of CA may also be the time a lot of people want to get out of the USA and that this is still years ahead of us at present. Of course, this was given back in 2015 – so one could view that favorably or unfavorably, we suppose :). Again, we could be wrong and if our view changes we will let you know.
CS Evaluation: Rick’s comments on Sadhu are good; those of us who have heard Sadhu in person annually for over a decade now know him to be a genuine prophet and a Man of God.
CS disagrees slightly with Joyner’s use of Matthew 18 relative to general, but kind and compassionate – and as Joyner references, restrained – criticism of leaders. Criticism should always be done respectfully, but Matthew 18 appears to address private sin or faults that are hidden from the church, therefore it says, “If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector” (Matt. 18:17 NAS95). Joyner is speaking relative to leader to leader criticism of theological opinions or practice. Here it is much better protocol for one leader to take another aside and express disagreement privately.
However, when any leader speaks publicly we all have the right – and the responsibility – to evaluate such comments in light of known Scripture. As it says in Acts, the Bereans took Paul’s words to heart and examined the Scriptures to see if they were true (Acts 17:11).
CS Evaluation: CS does not agree with Bolz’s view in the above link.
Bolz seems to conflate the issue of ‘judgment prophecy’ with the overall concept of judgment in the NT in this clip, so what he is saying about the concept is anything but clear. However, if Bolz is saying – as he appears to do – that the concept of either judgment prophecy or judgment as a general concept no longer applies in the NT era, why is he wrong? How To Respond To A Direction Dream, John E. Thomas, Stream Ministries
CS Evaluation: CS does not agree with the above link, updated 6/26/18
Is there really such a thing as a Direction Dream, as the author assumes? Maybe. But, ‘Direction Dreams,’ like the ones Joseph (Mary’s fiance/husband) had were clear, and largely in life threatening situations. Additionally, an angel appeared in these dreams, giving them a supernatural quality. That is how Joseph knew he was to act immediately.
Unless your dream is at the same level of the supernatural and an angel – not something symbolic, but clearly an angel – has appeared to you in a dream, you should not be rushing off anywhere. Most dreams give you time to prayerfully consider your action. To continue see this link.
