Nazi’s Fascination With The Occult Was Real: By Imagining Monsters They Became Monsters, Nathanael Blake, The Federalist
CS Commentary: An interesting article, but strange and contradictory that he sides with those that insist Nazism will never repeat itself and that there are no parallels to today, while also quoting those who describe it as a political religion. What is the Democratic Party today if not ‘political religion?’

70% Of So-Called Moderate Muslims Agree With ISIS: 1400 Years Of Islam In 15 Minutes, Brigette Gabriel, You Tube
CS Commentary: Though the 70% figure is true on the two questions surveyed, as Brigette points out elsewhere about 25% of the 1.2 to 1.8 billion Muslims globally can be considered ‘radical.’ As CS has featured in the past, taquiyyah is a concept few Westerners understand. Neither do they understand this principle: Any religion must reflect the nature and character of its founder – otherwise it ceases to be that religion. If you want to understand the true nature of Islam you must understand the life, philosophy, and character of Mohammed. Clue: In Arabic, Islam means ‘submit.’

Dear Judd Apatow And Kumail: You Have No Idea What A Nazi Really Was, David Harsanyi, The Federalist
CS Commentary: The hilarity and ludicrous and absurd nature of those calling Trump and Huckabee-Sanders and others on the right ‘Nazis’ is revealed by their complete ignorance of history. However, CS disagrees with the Harsanyi statement: continue reading at this link; Also see, The Rise Of The Mob, Ben Shapiro, Townhall; Also see, We Are Heading Down A Dangerous Path: Virtue Fascism, Bill O’Reilly

Tariff Wars And The Balance Of Trade, Richard M. Ebeling, AIER
CS Commentary: An interesting contrary article on Trump’s trade policies from an economist that sketches out the larger contextual understanding of global trade. Would be more convincing if he included a discussion of the differences between individual and national trade, how the US should respond to other nation’s tariffs on products and why, and the impact of central bank policies and exchange rate fluctuations. Global trade is a complex animal and its difficult to understand which side is right in the debate. The bottom line: China has been taking advantage of the US for decades in more ways than one and President Trump is right to stand up to them.
More Common Sense
CS Commentary: An old one and a little lewd, but the usually funny comic insult dog ‘triumphs’ again, as he gets kicked out of the American Idol trials by Fox and rebounds by going on the local NBC station.

The Dark Knight’s Spellbinding Tale Of Self-Sacrifice Underlies An Instant Classic, Aaron Gleason, The Federalist
CS Commentary: We don’t agree with the effusive tone of this review or the assessment of the film as an ‘instant classic,’ though Gleason’s review does make us want to check it out again to see what all his fuss is about. For us, Batman Begins was the much better film and ever since Nolan, the writer/director, is much overrated up to and including his last ‘tour-de-farce’, Dunkirk, which does nothing to help the viewer understand the battle’s significance or importance (Watch Darkest Hour first for context). For CS, films like 1959’s Ben Hur, still unexcelled in number of Oscars, or Braveheart, or Troy, are classics. Comic book films, because of their intensive imagery and symbols, are great vehicles for big universal statements, like “With great power comes great responsibility,” – one thinks of the original Spider Man trilogy with Toby McGuire, extremely well done – but to put them in the same category as a ‘Gone With The Wind’ or ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ seems superficial and lacking in historical cinematic depth.

It is not on Netflix or Prime, though maybe it will be at some point in the future. However, we are not sure how a show is supposed to make it if its impossible to find and not widely available.
