CS Commentary: Both GS and Business Insider have long been bastions of the Democratic Party so its not surprising that they take this position. It might work short-term, but we fear that there will be long-term dangers and the US will deteriorate into a mass-scale Venezuela more quickly than Americans might think. We give a Harris-Biden administration 3+ years before the nation begins serious deterioration into chaos.

The Stock Market Has Correctly Predicted Every Presidential Election Since 1984 – Here’s What To Look For In 2020, Matthew Fox, Business Insider

CS Commentary on S&P as Presidential Predictor: S&P 500 was at 3294 on August 3, 2020, exactly 3 months before the election. Update,10/30/20: the S&P 500 was down 10/28/20 below August 3 levels at around 3271, but rebounded 10/29/20 to about 3310. Today it corrected severely again and ended the day at about 3270. If the S&P is above its August 3 level on Election Day the incumbent President has won 100% of the time since 1985; and 87% of the time since 1928. However, because of mail-in voting and pre-voting this year almost 80 million, or over half of the total votes, have already been cast. Since the S&P has been above 3294 for most of that time, if it stays above it for the next five days, one would expect the indicator to remain relevant.

Matthew McConaughey On 2020 Election: Time To Get Constructive (video, left), Fox News

Talk about comments far behind and out of touch with the Zeitgeist – that’s what you get here. But, Ainsley can’t help but just flutter her eyes and sigh at the handsome Matthew. Warrior Nun, Official Netflix Trailer (video, above left), Netflix

CS Commentary: This series is not perfect, from a story structure standpoint or from a theological standpoint, but it is still an interesting story. Ava, a quadriplegic is raised from the dead and healed when an Angel’s halo is ‘accidentally’ implanted in her back. Now obligated to join a pack of warrior nuns fighting spiritual darkness and evil – not to mention Catholic and corporate conspiracies – she becomes something like the prophet, Jonah, running from her destiny. But how does someone with supernatural sight and powers run from fighting evil? Its an impossibility, but she tries. The story is a little slow-moving and challenged at times, but it’s part Frank Perreti’s This Present Darkness and part Charlie’s Angels and part coming-of-age romance, and it has enough twist and turns not to be boring – and to be more insightful and prescient than it knows. Portuguese-Brazilian Alba Baptista, in the lead role, is a budding international star – expect to see a lot more of her in the future. CS Grade: A-

Quotes Of The Month:

“People don’t know the value of what they have until it is gone: Freedom suppressed and again regained bites with keener fangs than freedom never endangered…. Liberty is rendered even more precious by the recollection of servitude. Don’t wait till freedom is gone before you enjoy, value, support, protect and make the most of it!” — Marcus Tullius Cicero

“Within the character of the citizen, lies the welfare of the nation.” — Marcus Tullius Cicero
